The national football team of Ukraine plays against Borussia Mönchengladbach. ProSieben will broadcast the benefit game live.

ProSieben will broadcast the friendly match between the Ukrainian national team and Borussia Mönchengladbach live. On May 11, Matthias Opdenhövel (51) will moderate from 8:15 p.m. from Mönchengladbach. Actually, “TV Total” and then his show “Zervakis & Opdenhövel. Live” should be running at this time.

The game against Borussia Mönchengladbach is the first football game for the national team of Ukraine since the outbreak of war. After deducting the costs for the hosts, the proceeds from the encounter are intended to benefit people from and in Ukraine. Ukrainians should also come to the stadium for free.

Benefit game and important test match

For the Ukraine national team, the match is about more than just charitable causes. On June 1, the team will play against Scotland to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. The play-off game was postponed in March because of the war. The clash against Gladbach is also an important test match.

“It is a personal matter close to my heart that ProSieben covered the Ukrainian national team’s game against Borussia Mönchengladbach […] shows,” explains ProSieben boss Daniel Rosemann (42) in a statement from the broadcaster. “We have to keep sending signals in Germany that we don’t forget the suffering of the people in Ukraine”.
