Ukraine-News: Russia attacks several front sectors before Donetsk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attacks Amnesty International. After the human rights activists criticized the tactics of the Ukrainian army, Zelenskyy says he wants Amnesty “issue an amnesty for the terrorist state (Russia) and shift the responsibility from the aggressor to the victim”. The Russian war of aggression is “unjustified, invasive and terroristic,” says the President in his daily video address. “If someone makes a report that sort of puts the victim and the attacker on an equal footing, if certain things about the victim are analyzed and the actions of the attacker are ignored, then that cannot be tolerated.”

Amnesty International accused Ukraine of endangering civilians unnecessarily because the army “repeatedly operated out of residential areas”.. This is “a violation of international humanitarian law”. Amnesty clarified that Ukraine’s defense tactics “in no way” justify the “many indiscriminate strikes by the Russian military with civilian casualties” and called Russia’s attacks a “war crime”.
