Around 90 countries are meeting in Switzerland for a Ukraine conference. What can we expect from this?
Let’s start with the positive: Heads of state, ministers and other representatives from around 90 countries are meeting near the city of Lucerne this Saturday to discuss a possible peace in Ukraine. And with a lightning visit to Riyadh, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj managed to persuade Saudi Arabia to participate at the last minute. Although the powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is not coming, as initially announced, the country’s foreign minister is at least coming. But that is where the hopeful news about this conference ends.
