The war in Ukraine is leaving deep scars in people’s souls, says psychoanalyst Jurko Prochasko. He looks after Ukrainian soldiers in Lviv who have experienced terrible things at the front – and they are not the only ones affected by the war.
You treat Ukrainian soldiers who fought at the front. What problems do these people come to you with?
Surprisingly, it is rarely about the fear they have to endure every day in the combat zone: the fear of dying. Much more often it is about guilt.
