One was scheduled to perform Friday afternoon on the Temple stage. The other on Saturday at the end of the morning on the same stage. But due to the war in their country, the Ukrainian metal bands 1914 and White Ward will not be able to perform at Hellfest which is held from June 15 to 18 in Clisson.
On his Facebook page, the group White Ward explains to its fans the reasons for this cancellation. “My friends, for lack of progress in the situation regarding obtaining travel outside of Ukraine in time of war, we are forced to cancel our participation in Hellfest”, write its members, apologizing “to the organizers and those who were waiting for us at the festival. “The group takes the opportunity in passing to curry in its post the Russian neighbor. “Thank you to the Russian shitholes for destroying the lives of Ukrainians,” they write.
Equally demanding, the 1914 group also explains on its Facebook page that it is “impossible to represent Ukraine in the world this summer. “Thank you to all the supporters, to those who wait and believe in us. We all see each other after the victory, ”reacted the group, also tackling the Ukrainian Minister of Culture. “I hope that soon you will cease to exist as a stupid relic and bureaucratic Soviet rudiment,” the members of 1914 wrote.
