Two radicalized young men arrested and charged

The arrest took place on November 18 in Strasbourg. Two radicalized young men, one of Russian nationality and the other of Tajik nationality, suspected of preparing violent action on French territory have been indicted and imprisoned, we learned Thursday from a source close to the file. They were arrested with five other people, said the same source, confirming information from France info who adds that two of these men would have recently arrived on the national territory. But these five other people, who reside in France, have been released without prosecution at this stage, it was said.

“The nature of their project has not been established with precision, but many elements suggest that they wanted to take action,” said the source familiar with the matter. In a tweet, the Minister of the Interior congratulated the investigators of the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI). “Thank you to the agents of the DGSI, on the front line to protect our fellow citizens”, wrote Gérald Darmanin.
