A monster cap
Part of the road was flooded, causing a massive traffic jam. “We have not moved a meter since the end of the morning, impatient a motorist, joined by 20 minutes, shortly after 3:30 p.m. We were told a 2h30 wait. But we don’t know how long it will actually last! I am appalled that we cannot pump the water that is on the track. “
In the Gard, the red alert has been lifted. According to the prefecture, the Vergèze station is “completely inaccessible and the Nîmes-Center station being secured for water infiltration”. The SNCF also indicates that due to flooded tracks, train movements “are interrupted in both directions on the classic line between Montpellier and Avignon. The resumption is not envisaged before the end of the evening ”.
