two girls found dead in an apartment near Brest

The firefighters made a macabre discovery this Wednesday morning in an apartment located in Relecq-Kerhuon near Brest by falling on the lifeless bodies of two girls, we learned from the Brest public prosecutor, confirming
information from Telegram. “I can confirm the discovery of two young children, two girls, one born in 2015, the other in 2017 at their home,” said Camille Miansoni.

It was the grandmother, who was to look after her granddaughters, who sounded the alert around 10 am, worried to see that the apartment door was closed. When the firefighters arrived on the scene, the mother opened the door for them before passing out. They then discovered the two girls, aged 4 and 6, lying on a bed before trying, in vain, to resuscitate them.

The trail of a family drama linked to separation

We do not yet know the causes of their deaths. An autopsy of the bodies is expected to take place this Thursday. The 35-year-old mother was taken to hospital. His days would not be “a priori in danger”, according to the prosecutor. The father was absent at the time of the tragedy, being in training in Saint-Malo.

An investigation, entrusted to the Brest research brigade, was opened to shed light on the death of two young girls. From a source close to the investigation, it would be a “drama of separation”. The father “had announced the rupture to the mother and the latter, not having supported, would have attempted the lives of her children before attempting to attack his”, according to this source, who specified that a letter had been found at home. A psychological unit has been set up at the town hall of Relecq-Kerhuon for relatives and neighbors.
