Two billion euros to adapt the training device, according to the Ministry of Labor

This is one of the essential parts of the “France 2030” project unveiled this Tuesday by Emmanuel Macron. All the transformations envisaged, in particular of the industrial apparatus, involve a more or less profound transformation of the trades. Likewise, the “talents” who create innovative start-ups of tomorrow must be well trained and acquire theoretical knowledge before creating something new. This is why a global envelope of 2.5 billion euros is earmarked for training.

500 million will go to higher education, in particular to create schools for training in artificial intelligence. The rest, “it is two billion to modernize the training apparatus to train young people and employees in trades sectors targeted by France 2030,” Elisabeth Borne’s cabinet told AFP on Tuesday. It remains to be seen which sectors will be affected. In his speech, Emmanuel Macron spoke a lot about industry and agriculture, but also mentioned the “need for screenwriters, technicians” in the cinema for example.

By the end of the year, the government will launch a call for projects “skills and professions of the future”, the idea of which is to bring together universities, companies, CFAs and training organizations to offer new training courses, with diplomas. at stake. A jury will select these projects, the idea being to launch the first promotions as quickly as possible. Ultimately, the goal is to train no less than 400,000 people per year in these promising professions.
