Two babies saved from drowning thanks to a human chain

The story is almost miraculous. According Var-Morning, two 2-year-old babies were saved from drowning in Cavalaire-sur-Mer (Var) thanks to firefighters and gendarmes, who happened to witness the scene. Last Saturday, the stroller of these twins fell in the port of the Var town. Their mother immediately dove into the freezing water to try to save them.

Nearby, two volunteer firefighters, in civilian clothes, are cleaning a boat. Alerted by the cries of the mother, the firefighters rush to the scene to rescue the little family. Maritime gendarmes who were patrolling there, by chance, aboard their boat, come to lend them a hand, and a whole human chain is created to help the toddlers and their mother. All three are safe and sound.
