Tutzing: Evangelical Academy is looking for Nazi looted property – Munich

The German Center for the Loss of Cultural Property supports the efforts of the Evangelical Academy Tutzingto come to terms with the past. Tutzing Castle was richly furnished by its owner, the Jewish-Hungarian art collector Marczell von Nemes, who died in 1930. The National Socialists persecuted the later owner Albert Hackelsberger. The Evangelical Regional Church bought the castle in 1949, and only a few of the original furniture and art objects are left.
