Donald Trump says CBS should lose its broadcasting license
Donald Trump declared on his Truth Social network that CBS should lose its license after broadcasting an interview with Kamala Harris on its airwaves.
Accusing the American channel of perpetrating a “Gigantic fake news scam”, the Republican candidate calls into question the way in which the shows “60 minutes” and “Face the Nation” edited the interview with his competitor for the White House.

The source of Donald Trump’s criticism comes from the broadcast of two different answers from Kamala Harris to the same question about the Biden administration’s efforts to stop the war in the Middle East.
Journalist Bill Whitaker interviewed Kamala Harris on Saturday, October 5 in Washington for the “60 Minutes” program broadcast on Monday, two days later. But a short extract of the interview was revealed on Sunday in “Face the Nation” on the same network., as a promotion for the long version, as well as to give a spotlight to the Sunday broadcast.

According to the American channel, Kamala Harris’ full response to the question asked by Bill Whitaker was in fact made up of the two sentences in question: the first was used in “Face the Nation” and the second in “60 Minutes”. CBS explained that an edit was necessary since the show “60 Minutes” aired twenty minutes of interview, out of the forty-five minutes that the interview lasted.
Donald Trump’s campaign team, for its part, asked CBS News to publish a full, unedited transcript of the Kamala Harris interview.
During his 2020 presidential campaign against Joe Biden, the Republican candidate was so annoyed by his interview with “60 Minutes” reporter Lesley Stahl that he cut the session short before releasing the full, unedited recording of the interview.
