Two men of 39 and 46 years old will be tried on Wednesday for rape and kidnapping of two young women in November 2017 in a hookah bar in the Vaise district, in Lyon. After an evening spent with a friend, the victims were kidnapped overnight by two men, including the organizer of the evening, who repeatedly raped them by threatening them with a pair of scissors, and forcing them to consuming cocaine and alcohol.
According to Progress, the victims sent several text messages as early as 8:43 a.m. asking their friend to call the police, but he was asleep and could not react until 11:49 a.m.
Police found one of the suspects under the influence of drugs, fly open. Accused of “rape with several aggravating circumstances in recidivism”, the two men deny the charges imputed to them. The verdict of this closed-door trial is expected this Friday.
