Transport, schools, services… What disruptions can we expect for this day?

The slogans of Tuesday’s mobilization? “The return match of the pension reform”, according to the number one of the CGT, Sophie Binet. With Solidaires and the FSU, the union called a strike, to also demand an increase in wages. Overview of the planned disruptions, while the union front is this time disunited: the other unions have not called a strike.

In transport

The SNCF describes TGV train traffic as “normal” on Tuesday. Only the circulation of certain regional trains (TER, Transilien) and certain Intercity trains could be “slightly” disrupted. In Ile-de-France, traffic will however be disrupted on several Transilien lines (Lines D, E, J, L and N). In New Aquitaine, severe disruptions are expected on several axes in the region. In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, disruptions are announced, without further details yet, as well as in Brittany. In Paca, TER traffic will be slightly disrupted on the Nice-Ventimiglia line.

On the public transport side, the RATP provides various means on its site to attend Mylène Farmer’s concert event at the Stade de France, without announcing any particular disruptions. The CGT-RATP having filed a strike notice, certain lines should however be affected by the social movement. In Marseille, service will be normal in the metros and trams, but slight disruptions are expected on the bus network. In Lille, no upcoming disruptions have been announced on the Ilevia network.

In schools

In schools, striking teachers have already informed parents. Some establishments will be completely closed. For middle and high schools, there is no obligation for teachers to declare themselves on strike in advance, but messages have started to fall on Pronote announcing an organization of classes strongly impacted by the social movement, or even d The canteen is already closed. The majority union of middle and high schools, the SNES-FSU has indeed called for mobilization, and this call also concerns non-teaching staff. “To finally obtain positions and the end of the clash of knowledge. Let us not give up, our demands are just and we are legitimate to express them,” also explains a press release from the CGT Educ’action on More than 3,000 positions were still unfilled in teacher competitions this year.

Also affected by the strike call, public services and administrations will also be disrupted. The fact remains that in this sector, as in others, mobilization could prove to be quite weak. “The feedback from the field is not good,” a union source told AFP, on condition of anonymity.
