Mats Hummels and BVB are going their separate ways. After a total of 13 years in Dortmund, the defender’s move to Italy is apparently taking shape. Is Spain also in the running?

According to several media reports, the central defender is set to move to AS Roma. Contact between Hummels and the Italian capital club has recently intensified, reported the newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport”. According to the report, the 35-year-old German could receive a two-year contract in Rome with the option of an extension for a further season.
According to the report, the parties have already discussed details of a possible collaboration. Roma is currently urgently looking for reinforcements in its defense. And Hummels also confirmed that he could imagine a move to another European country. In principle, Roma is said to be prepared to pay the German a similar salary to that at BVB. But Hummels could also make concessions on salary during the negotiations.
