He has only had his driver’s license for six months, but an 18-year-old is probably not allowed to get behind the wheel that quickly. On the A115, his speedometer showed 180 km/h more than allowed.

The Berlin police stopped an 18-year-old who was driving a sports car at 280 km/h. According to the police report, the speeder overtook a civil patrol on Wednesday night on the A115 in the direction of Zehlendorf. During the subsequent pursuit, the officials’ video measuring device documented a top speed of over 280 km/h – 100 km/h is allowed there.

Finally, the civil patrol overtook the speeder and steered it off the Autobahn at the Spanish Allee junction. The car and the 18-year-old driver’s license, which was only six months old, were confiscated by a court order. Further investigations are being carried out by a special commissioner for traffic offences.
