In Hall 11 of the Nuremberg exhibition center it works, the peaceful coexistence between China and Taiwan, the island that Beijing considers part of China. The interaction between the envoys of both countries seems relaxed, and the proportions are right. “Best of China” fills large parts of the exhibition hall, while the stands of the far fewer Taiwanese exhibitors suffice a corner and two sides of a walkway. A number of the Taiwanese stands were set up back to back with those of the Chinese exhibitors. The names are Viga Toys, Tianjin New Material or Pan’an Quanda, not brands that the common toy buyer knows. But at least you are back.
