Defending champion Denmark can continue to dream of the third title in a row at the Handball World Championship. The gold winner of 2019 and 2021 easily qualified for the semi-finals with an easy 40:23 (21:12) against Hungary.

The Danes demonstrated their class in a one-sided game in Stockholm and impressively underlined their ambitions to win the title again. The best thrower for Nikolaj Jacobsen’s team was Mathias Gidsel from Bundesliga leaders Füchse Berlin with nine goals.
