The woman swims in the so-called “Devil’s Pool” – a naturally formed stone pool at the edge of the waterfall.
When the water level is low, usually between September and December, the pool is open to tourists.
But even if the edge of the so-called “devil’s pool” offers a certain degree of protection, the visit is not without its dangers.
In 2009, a tourist guide fell down and died while rescuing a bather at the site.
If you want to enjoy the beauty of the world-famous Victoria Falls in complete safety, you better look for another vantage point.
