TotalEnergies extends the price freeze to all fuels but “temporarily”

TotalEnergies makes a gesture for its customers. The oil giant has decided to extend “temporarily” from Friday its price cap measure to 1.99 euros per liter to all fuels (SP95, SP98, diesel, Excellium).

“The price freeze measure initiated in March therefore also applies to the Excellium product range (SP98 and Diesel Excellium)”, according to a press release from the group on Thursday. “Some stations are out of one or more products, this expansion will allow our customers to benefit from the measure regardless of the product,” said an internal source at the company.

The classic range capped for the whole of 2023

The measure concerning the Excellium range will apply “until the stations no longer experience supply difficulties”, according to the same source, which recalls that since March 1 the prices of the classic range (simple diesel and petrol SP95) are capped for the whole of 2023.

On Wednesday morning, 6.95% of service stations were in short supply of at least one of the fuels (gasoline and/or diesel) they offered on March 1, according to the analysis of data from the government website for fuel prices. fuels.
