Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun” sequel has pushed “Avengers: Infinity War” from number six in the all-time US cinema charts.

“Top Gun: Maverick” has officially overtaken Marvel’s Avengers in the all-time US box office charts. Infinity War is no longer the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. This is reported by the US portal “TMZ”. With a box office result of 679 million dollars (around 676 million euros), “Top Gun 2” made it to number six of the most successful films in the USA.

The action film with Tom Cruise (60) only overtook “Titanic” at the beginning of August. The drama by James Cameron (68) is now in eighth place.

Avengers: Infinity War is ahead of Top Gun: Maverick worldwide

In the international ranking “Top Gun: Maverick” is not (yet) quite as successful. There, Tom Cruise and Co. are “only” in 13th place. Globally, the film has so far grossed 1.383 billion dollars (about 1.377 billion euros). “Avengers: Infinity War” ranks fifth internationally with $ 2.048 billion (almost 2.039 billion euros). “Titanic” is in third place with just over 2.2 billion dollars.
