During the Munich Film Festival, the Federal Association of Directors organized a workshop entitled “Ex and Hopp – outdated, outdated” – a discussion about age discrimination and deteriorating working conditions. Good idea, because ageism is real. However, the female directors present there reported with irritation that male colleagues over fifty had complained that they had recently heard the sentence several times: “A young woman is now getting the job”.
