Below the surface of the water lies a world of wonder. The photographer Tobias Friedrich captured them in his pictures and, together with the author Linus Geschke, made an impressive book out of them.
Mr. Friedrich, Mr. Geschke, your photo book “Im Reich der Stille” has just been published, a powerful work about the underwater world. A photographer and a thriller writer – how did you meet?
LINUS GESCHKE: I was a travel journalist for 17 years and did a lot of diving reports. I met Tobias on a trip to Oman when he was just starting out. I liked him immediately, like a younger brother. Today he is one of the best underwater photographers in the world, I would say.
