For living room and dining room

The living room and the dining room are the places of life par excellence. It is therefore normal that the choice of household linen for these two rooms is particularly delicate.

First of all, you need elegant curtains, preferably light and light shades. They can also be in heavier and more opaque fabrics to better dress the rooms. You can therefore opt for velvet or thick fabrics. Don’t forget to bring a tape measure to measure the width and height of your windows, because to be elegant, the curtains must be the right size.

Then you have to choose the layer from your dining table. This can be sober and be white or beige, with or without patterns or embroidery. It can also be colored such as, for example, with blue, red or gray gingham patterns if your decoration lends itself to it.

You can complete your decoration with chair covers, which may or may not match your tablecloths, as well as napkins and tea towels.

the living room and dining room linen is probably the most visible to you and your guests. It must therefore always be impeccable, that is to say sparkling clean and well ironed.

For your sofas, armchairs and other seats in your living room, don’t forget to add decorative cushions. These must of course be chosen according to their aesthetics, but they must also be comfortable and pleasant to the touch. Therefore, favor natural materials such as vegetable fibers or wool.

For the bathroom

Bath linen is important because it contributes to your hygiene and your comfort when you take care of yourself and when you clean yourself. Bath linen consists mainly of towels which must be chosen by giving priority to their material.

Bath towels can be terry cotton, combed cotton, honeycomb cotton, Egyptian cotton, or even bamboo fibers. By favoring these materials, you ensure that you have durable, comfortable and soft bath towels, in addition to being very absorbent. Also, don’t overlook the fabric weight, because the higher it is, the more comfortable and absorbent the towel is. Choose towels with a weight of at least 450 grams per square meter.

When choosing your bath towels, vary both the colors to distinguish them more easily, and the dimensions. You need large towels for your shower or bath, but also smaller towels to wipe your hands or face.

For bedrooms

The linen for the bedrooms must also be chosen with care. It contributes, in fact, to the comfort of the occupants of the rooms and the quality of their sleep.

For the duvet, it is necessary to favor natural and breathable materials and choose suitable models for each season. It is, in fact, difficult to do without a duvet in spring or autumn, but it is difficult to use the same one as in winter. So plan several duvets of different thicknesses. And for each, plan a duvet cover whose fabric should be as breathable and as pleasant to the touch as possible.

Whether it’s covers, sheets or pillowcases, choose noble and comfortable materials like cotton, linen, flannel or even silk. Linen is particularly affordable and has thermoregulatory properties which make sleep more comfortable while preventing the proliferation of dust mites and the multiplication of bacteria. Flannel is, for its part, to be reserved for winter bed linen, because it is a warmer material.

When choosing your bedding, don’t overlook the dimensions. You should always choose to take duvets, sheets and blankets larger than your bed. Thus, for a bed of 220 by 220 centimeters, you can easily find a duvet of 240 by 250 centimeters, or even more.

The bedroom curtains must also be chosen with care, because they protect you from the sun and preserve your privacy, in addition to being decorative. You can even give them an extra function in winter by opting for thermal curtains that improve the insulation of your bedroom.
