Another mass shooting in the United States. A shooter broke into a factory in Smithsburg, Maryland, 90 miles north of Washington and Baltimore, on Thursday afternoon. According to a report provided by the sheriff of Washington County, there are three dead and one injured in critical condition.
The suspect opened fire around 2:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. Paris time) at the Columbia Machine Inc factory in rural Maryland. He fled in a vehicle and was chased by the police. During an exchange of fire, the suspect was injured in the back and a police officer in the shoulder, said the governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan. The shooter and the state trooper were both hospitalized. The identity of the suspect and a possible motive were not known Thursday evening.
