This is how hotel guests gossip about animation programs: from Kamasutra to binge drinking

A club holiday without animation is like a swimming pool without the smell of chlorine: after a day of bathing fun and water aerobics, evening entertainment is part of the offer. The young employees of the hotels, who run the sports and children’s programs during the day, entertain their audience with more or less mediocre shows after dinner.

The spectrum ranges from solo entertainers such as magicians and lonely musicians at the Hammond organ to imitation Broadway shows to frivolous foam parties and Miss Wet T-shirt competitions at the poolside.

Reviews of the animation program

After returning from the summer vacation, vacationers are happy to report on their experiences in their accommodations. When it comes to hotel reviews on the Internet, not only the room, location and surroundings, service, gastronomy, but also sports and entertainment options – including evening entertainment – play a role.

The German-language portal Holidaycheck.de gathers nine million reviews of hotels worldwide. A large share is made up of those accommodations that are booked as part of a package travel package, i.e. including flights, transfers and overnight stays. This type of vacation is usually backed by large tour operators that operate across Europe and fly their guests on beach holidays to destinations around the Mediterranean.

The guests expect more from these establishments: namely an animation program during the day and varied evening entertainment to round off the day.
