These countries remain behind Putin – despite war crimes

The UN General Assembly has voted to suspend Russia’s membership of the UN Human Rights Council. But the vote shows that there are still supporter states – including not just the well-known ones.

The United Nations General Assembly has suspended Russia’s membership of the UN Human Rights Council over the Ukraine– exposed to war. In a vote in New York on Thursday, 93 UN member states voted to suspend Russia’s membership of the UN body. 24 members voted against, another 58 countries abstained. Despite the war of aggression and Russian war crimes in Ukraine, two dozen countries stand by Putin and Russia.
