After the end of “The Walking Dead”, fan favorite Norman Reedus returns to the undead universe with his own offshoot “Daryl Dixon”.

On November 20th, the finale of the long-lived zombie series “The Walking Dead”, which began in 2010, will flicker across the screens of the US channel AMC. However, like its creepy antagonists, the franchise will survive the end of the series. There’s even a slew of spin-off series based around popular characters on the horizon. One of these offshoots focuses on fan favorite Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus (53), and Reedus himself has now revealed on twitter also the title of the upcoming show. It’s short and straightforward, “Daryl Dixon.”

This is known about the “The Walking Dead” offshoot “Daryl Dixon”.

In his spin-off, which will start on AMC in 2023, Daryl ends up in France. There, an even more dangerous variant of zombies is up to mischief. They can apparently move faster and are characterized by more remaining intelligence. That was hinted at in the final scene of the spin-off series The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020-2021). Daryl, who probably doesn’t speak French, will have to reinvent himself abroad, as “The Walking Dead” showrunner Scott M. Gimple (51) announced some time ago.

An overview of all upcoming or already running “The Walking Dead” series

In addition to the parent series “The Walking Dead” (2010-2022) and the first spin-off “Fear the Walking Dead” (since 2015), which will start season eight next year, AMC has already shown the anthology Tales of the Walking Dead series, for which a second season has not yet been confirmed.

According to the current status, three shows will be released in 2023, in which the focus will be on individual characters from the parent series. In addition to “Daryl Dixon”, an untitled series about fan favorites Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln, 49) and Michonne (Danai Gurira, 44) is also planned. In it, viewers will learn what became of Rick after he left The Walking Dead.

The third offshoot “The Walking Dead: Dead City” revolves around the unequal duo Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 56) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan, 40). She ends up in New York City and in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, which is cut off from the outside world due to the zombie outbreak and in which anarchic conditions prevail. An official teaser trailer from AMC also recently introduced all four upcoming series from 2023.
