The veiled student who hit a teacher in Tourcoing tried this Wednesday

The student from the Sévigné de Tourcoing high school accused of having hit a teacher will be judged in immediate appearance before the Lille court, this Wednesday afternoon, we learned from the public prosecutor’s office. The young girl, aged 18, will have to answer for acts of intentional violence against the teacher, who filed a complaint and became a civil party.

In addition to a possible criminal conviction, provided that the accused does not request a postponement of his trial to prepare his defense, the student is already the subject of a precautionary measure prohibiting him from attending high school. This measure was requested by the Minister of National Education in person, Anne Genetet, pending the formation of a disciplinary council.

Threats, insults and beatings

As a reminder, the incident occurred Monday, late in the afternoon. A high school teacher asked three young girls wearing the Islamic veil inside the establishment to remove them.
