A week after the death of two 21-year-olds who killed themselves after a chase with the police in Saint-Herblain (Loire-Atlantique), we know more about the circumstances of the accident. Originally from Morbihan, the two young people had refused to be checked on the night of January 24 to 25 in the Dervallières district of Nantes and had fled at high speed. They had died after leaving the road, their vehicle hitting a tree violently.
Wednesday evening, Renaud Gaudeul, public prosecutor of Nantes, communicated the results of the toxicological examinations carried out on the two victims. It turns out that the two young people were both alcoholic. The driver thus displayed a rate of 1.51 grams of alcohol per liter of blood and his passenger 1.52 grams.
