The Tschecherl in the Maxvorstadt – Munich

Admittedly, Iwan Lende didn’t immediately think of Austria when he was asked to visit a restaurant called Tschecherl. He expected something Bohemian, perhaps roast pork with bacon or at least a hearty tripe soup. But Wikipedia proved him wrong: A Tschecherl is a cheap cafe, a Boazn even, and in earlier times the name was even a real insult.
