The train connects Breil-sur-Roya to Ventimiglia again

December 22, 2021 will remain an important date for the inhabitants of the Roya valley. More than a year after the storm Alex, which had completely interrupted rail traffic between Breil-sur-Roya, a small village in the Alpes-Maritimes heavily affected by the natural disaster, and Ventimiglia, a train again ran on these rails this Wednesday.

The reopening of this eagerly awaited rail line took place in the presence of local elected officials, notably the LREM vice-president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in charge of transport, Jean-Pierre Serrus, and Mayor of Breil-sur-Roya, Sébastien Olharan, who relayed the event on his social networks.
