The singer’s funeral will take place on Thursday in Paris

The funeral of Françoise Hardy, who died on June 11 at the age of 80, is planned for Thursday afternoon at the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris, the family announced on Saturday in Le Figaro.

“We will meet in the Dome room of the crematorium of the Père-Lachaise cemetery (…) on Thursday June 20, from 3 p.m.,” wrote in the daily notebook the singer’s husband, Jacques Dutronc, and their son Thomas.

Françoise Hardy, who died after battling cancer that appeared in 2004, had a career spanning more than 50 years in singing, which made her one of the most admired French artists abroad.

Icon of the sixties, she was the only French representative in the ranking of the 200 best singers of all time by the American magazine Rolling Stone in 2023.
