The singer will perform his first musical comedy on the theme of “The Count of Monte Cristo”

Then get ready to find The Count of Monte Cristo on the boards: the singer Calogero has indeed entrusted to RTLthis Tuesday, September 17, 2024, embark on the adaptation of the work of Alexandre Dumas… into a musical comedy!

“Calo” says he has been dreaming about this project for a long time: “My brother and my producer have been pushing me for years to finally make my own “musical,” he admits. I have never made a musical […] and the success of the film confirms my idea of ​​going there.”

The artist reveals to the microphone of RTL that he has already started: “I started composing themes a year ago. For the staging, I have ideas, as for the movements, because I would like there to be more movements than dance in this “musical”, he explains.

“My dream is to really pay homage to Alexandre Dumas’ masterpiece. To go towards something grandiose, something classic, because it’s really a story about ‘positive’ revenge,” he enthuses.

RTL reports that the singer-songwriter wishes to set up this ambitious project with his “historical” producer, Thierry Suc, who has notably worked on the shows Starmania And Resists. And that we should not expect it before 2027 or 2028, because Calogero does not want to “work in a hurry, to do something, I hope, on a par with Dumas”.
