The Shiba Inu community encountered a drama about copying codes, chain IDs from other Shibarium projects.

The clash heated up on the Shiba Inu Discord on March 17 when senior community member Steve alleged that the Shibarium layer-2 beta testnet and the existing blockchain Rinia had the same chain ID.

“Why does it seem that shibarium test net took rinia testnet’s Genesis file and renamed it from renia but forgot to change the chain ID?”

The Shibarium, the Layer 2 network, has been a long-awaited addition to the Shiba Inu community, having launched its beta version last week. When there is a drama about copying code

“Chain ID is the easiest thing Blockchain developers look for first. When deploying Blockchain,” wrote community member Steve, “because using an existing ID is indicative of incompetence, as your chain will not function properly. And anyone who tries to interact with your chain will interact with another chain instead.”

Developers and other community members were quick to respond. “There is no definitive evidence that this is a fork of the chain launched last month,” wrote member JesusM on the Discord channel. “Code is forked out all the time. There is also no confirmation that this is true.”

Side Kaal [ผู้พัฒนา Shiba Inu] specifyThat a new beta version of the Shibraium network with new chain IDs will be implemented. However, the next day, Steve came out again. This time it compares two screenshots to show the similarity between Shibarium alpha testnet and Polygon’s Mumbai testnet.
