Sam Bankman-Fried said he “might” be at a hearing before Congress about the collapse of FTX. Lawmakers have invited the former CEO to speak at the Dec. 13 hearing, but it’s still uncertain. Will you come?

The SBF said he needs to learn more about what caused FTX to blow up and file for bankruptcy protection before he can appear at a congressional hearing on the topic.

“Representative Waters and the U.S. Senate Committee: Once I’ve finished learning and reviewing what happened. I feel like it’s my duty to appear in front of the committee and explain things, but I’m not sure if it will happen in time by the 13th. I’m going to testify.” Bankman-Fried Said on Sunday Twitter

Lawmakers praised Bankman-Fried’s “straightforward” explanation. As for FTX’s failures in the past few days. Board Chairman Maxine Waters, D-Calif.

“We appreciate your honest comments about what is going on at FTX. Your willingness to speak to the public will help the company’s clients, investors and others. We welcome your participation in our hearing on the 13th,” Waters wrote in a tweet.
