It will still not be for this end of the year. Rock opera fans Starmania will have to wait another year to find the cult musical show signed by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon. He will return in the fall of 2022 to the Seine Musicale. Producers Thierry Suc and Aurélien Binder explained to
RTL this Tuesday why maintaining production in November 2021 was not possible.

“We are in a projected economy. This means that the performing arts cannot restart in 48 hours, explains Thierry Suc. We need 3-4-5-6 months before having our artists show on stage. We can no longer project ourselves. We are in April. The festivals are strongly threatened, they cancel one after the other. We focused on the end of autumn, but it is clearly threatened for us for questions of logistical back-planning. And above all, we are all bound by this vaccination campaign which for us is the only reference to restart our activities. “

Several festivals have already canceled their 2021 edition. The “Eurocks”, a pillar of the summer of festivals, and Musilac have joined the list of events which had already not been able to take place in 2020 and which have thrown in the towel for 2021. There are already Solidays, Hellfest, Garorock, Le Main Square, Art Rock and even the Lollapalooza in Paris. Likewise, the 2021 edition of the International Comics Festival in Angoulême is canceled due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
