The Rhône and Ain in orange rain-flood vigilance

Météo France on Tuesday morning classified the departments of Rhône and Ain in orange rain-flood vigilance until at least 7 p.m. 60 to 80 millimeters of water are expected in some areas. “These accumulations correspond to what usually falls in three weeks to one month during a month of July,” said Météo-France.

A rainstorm disturbance has developed over these two departments and could remain stationary, causing local damage. The authorities invite residents to limit their movements and remind motorists not to take the submerged roads.

To a lesser extent, the neighboring departments will also be affected by these substantial accumulations, in particular the Loire and Isère.
