Explosive return. On Monday and Tuesday, several schools in the Lille and Amiens academies were the target of bomb threats. Threats sent by Internet, via social networks or in messages on the digital work spaces (ENT) of establishments. In charge of the management of high schools, the Hauts-de-France region has decided to file a complaint.
In all, around twenty establishments in France were the subject of bomb alerts before the start of the school year, in Créteil, Grenoble, Versailles, Lyon and in Normandy. But it is in Hauts-de-France that there are the most, five in all, including two in the Lille metropolis, two in Carvin and one in Amiens.
Several complaints in progress
The threats were sent on WhatsApp, Snapchat and, more worryingly, on the digital workspaces (ENT) of the establishments. “The Hauts-de-France Region is currently working with the rectorates and the police in order to deal with the situation”, assures the institution in a press release, specifying that complaints were going to be filed “for each of the threats published on the ENT. »
In all cases, these threats of attacks turned out to be unfounded, but it was still necessary to evacuate and thoroughly inspect all the establishments targeted. An investigation is underway to find the authors of the messages.
