The “Marseille en grand” plan has just taken an important step. The deputies adopted on the night of Wednesday to Thursday the reform of the governance of Aix-Marseille wanted by Emmanuel Macron.
The government passed this long-awaited reform through an amendment adopted by 69 votes in favor, 9 against and 5 abstentions, to its “decentralization” bill known as “3DS”. Elected officials put at the heart of decisions
Several sub-amendments were adopted without calling into question the main lines of the reform. They concern the delegation of tourism promotion to certain municipalities, the maintenance of infrastructure maintenance for recharging vehicles in the metropolis, as well as actions in favor of the landscape and nature. A sub-amendment by LREM has also put elected officials back at the heart of the game in the management of the structure responsible for evaluating the charges related to the transfer of powers between municipalities and the metropolis.
