The reality TV that punctuated the summer of the French for a decade

If you think about your past summers, what memories come back to you? A delicious ice cream eaten in front of a sunset? The satisfaction of a perfect tan? In 20 minutes, we love lemon sorbets and tanned complexions, but what we love even more is the television and all the good times that go with it.

During the summer, there is no doubt that you have turned on your station, whether it is to follow the Tour de France and the Olympics if it is your hobby, or to relax in front of one of the cult programs that the TV offers us every season.

Nearly 200 candidates in eleven years

Among the generics that bring us directly back on vacation, that of Secret Story ranks in a good position. It was accompanied by a little scent of forbidden for teenagers and guilty pleasure for the less young. Presented by Benjamin Castaldi then by Christophe Beaugrand, the show spanned eleven seasons and welcomed nearly 200 candidates within its walls.

Cult moments, emblematic but also controversial candidates, Secret Story has marked the history of reality TV and even of the small screen in general. Whether thanks to its wacky secrets or its personalities and their dumplings, the program is so iconic that many viewers are hoping for its return. Take a whiff of nostalgia on video in the second issue ofA summer in front of the TV.
