54 votes against 15. The Law Committee of the National Assembly overwhelmingly rejected, on Wednesday, the proposal for the dismissal of Emmanuel Macron tabled by La France Insoumise (LFI). The movement created by Jean-Luc Mélenchon criticizes the head of state for not having respected the result of the legislative elections.
This text aims to bring the president before the two combined chambers of Parliament with a view to dismissal for “failure to fulfill his duties manifestly incompatible with the exercise of his mandate”.
“Macron’s coup still does not have the last word”
“Rebellious, GDR and Greens voted for the motion to impeach Macron. The RN, LR, Macronists and PS voted against. […] Macron’s coup d’état still does not have the last word,” Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who remains optimistic, wants to believe in a message on.
The law provides that the examination of the text in the hemicycle begins no later than the 13th day following the vote of the law committee. However, it will be up to the conference of presidents of the Assembly to decide on the date of its examination.
