A key ingredient is still missing from Season 6 of The Crown : Kate Middleton young. As revealed variety Tuesday, spotted in particular by BFM TVthe production of the British series is currently looking for an actress to play the Duchess of Cambridge.
The cast is looking for “an exceptional young actress to play Kate Middleton”, relays the American site. “It’s a good role in this award-winning drama and we’re looking for a strong physical likeness,” it added. Filming is expected to begin next summer.
Season 5 next November
If the scenario remains mysterious, season 6 should take place in the early 2000s, in the teenage years of William and Harry. We should thus discover there the first rapprochements between the eldest and Kate Middleton, but also the many slippages of the younger.
Before that, Netflix will air season 5 of The Crown in November. The story will take place in the 1990s marked by the divorce of Charles and Diana and the tragic disappearance of Lady Di. After Emma Corrin, it will now be up to Elizabeth Debicki to play the princess. Regarding the queen, Imelda Staunton will succeed Olivia Colman.
