We did not go far from a tragedy Thursday at the start of the evening in Rennes. Around 7:30 p.m., the police were called to a 17-year-old who was trying to get out of a window. Originally from Somalia, the teenager had run away from the Guillaume-Régnier psychiatric hospital a little earlier and was in the midst of a crisis of dementia. He had locked himself with two friends in the apartment occupied by his mother and threatened to jump out of the window of the apartment on the fourth floor.
Thanks to the help of the two friends, the police managed to enter the accommodation and save the young man in extremis, catching him by an arm and a leg when half of his body was already in a vacuum. He was then taken to the psychiatric emergency room.
