After the deduction at source, here is the payment at source. The family allowance fund (CAF) has just announced that the active solidarity income (RSA), the activity bonus and the personalized housing assistance (APL) can now be paid automatically in order to simplify the administrative procedures. A significant step because, each year, the amount of unclaimed social aid from CAF represents no less than 10 billion euros.
New line on pay slip
“To simplify the procedures for users, the principle is to introduce a pre-filled declaration model, as for income tax, which the CAF will send directly to the beneficiary”, explains service-public.fr website. In addition, to facilitate the procedure, a new line will be included on the pay slip, mentioning the net social amount which serves as a reference for the calculation of social benefits.
RSA, activity bonus and APL can therefore be paid directly by 2024. For the record, this device, “payment at source of allowances”, was an electoral proposal mentioned in 2020 by an opposition list , during the municipal elections in Tourcoing, in the North. At the time, another candidate for mayor was named Gérald Darmanin and he was Minister of Public Accounts.
“If the government is able to make deductions at source for taxes, it must be able, in the same way, to pay social benefits at source”, claimed the list called “Common Ambition”. His wishes were finally granted.
