- The trial of Nordahl Lelandais, prosecuted for the murder of Corporal Arthur Noyer in April 2017, opens Monday before the Assize Court of Savoy.
- The accused evokes a fight which resulted in death without intention of giving it.
- But the victim’s family remains convinced that he is lying and that he planned his action.
They wait to “know the truth”, even if they fear never having an explanation and remain convinced that the accused “will continue to lie”. On Monday, Arthur Noyer’s parents will face Nordahl Lelandais for the first time, who will have to answer for the murder of their son, committed in April 2017. The former dog handler, also indicted for the murder of the little one Maëlys, will appear until May 12 before the Assize Court of Savoy in Chambéry.
On the eve of the trial, the relatives of the victim show their “determination”. “They are not afraid to meet Lelandais eyes. On the contrary, announces Bernard Boulloud, the lawyer for the Noyer family. They will not look down in front of him, they will stare at him ”. Because the file, “they know it by heart”, continues the lawyer.
“Nordahl Lelandais enjoys the suffering of others, he has no affect”
“The problem is that Nordahl Lelandais will undoubtedly speak his truth. He has only one thing in mind: to save his skin, according to the family. This man wants to play with the other, he enjoys the suffering of others. He has no affect, accuses the lawyer of the civil parties. Arthur Noyer’s parents know this very well and they will not fall for the trap ”.
During his hearing at the end of March 2018 by the judges responsible for the case, the accused recognized a fight with the soldier, hitchhiked at the exit of a nightclub in Chambéry. And mentioned “several blows” to the face of the young man, who would have fatally fallen into a ravine. Except that the Noyer family does not believe in this version of the facts. Their lawyer took care to carry out several verifications on the ground to “have marbles under the elbows” during the trial and to dismantle each argument that Nordahl Lelandais may present.
The family convinced of premeditation
“The objective is to put him face to face with his contradictions and inconsistencies because he will seek to say that he did not intend to kill”, warns Bernard Boulloud, deeply convinced that the suspect has “spotted and tracked down his victim ”. “There are elements in the file which suggest that there is premeditation. We see him moving around Chambéry. He behaves like a predator, ”says the lawyer. And to emphasize: “The operating mode is identical to that of Maëlys. One can even wonder if he did not repeat this process with Maëlys and if Arthur Noyer is really his first victim ”.
The disappearance of the young corporal was reported on April 12, 2017 to the territorial gendarmerie brigade of Challes-les-Eaux by an officer of the 13th battalion of alpine hunters. Five months later, on September 7, the gendarmes of the territorial brigade of St Pierre d’Albigny had been notified of the discovery by walkers of a human skull in the forest of Cruet. DNA analyzes, in December of the same year, confirmed that it was Arthur Noyer’s.
On January 12, 2018, bones were found on the heights of Montmélian, where Nordahl Lelandais used to go to practice climbing. The analyzes subsequently revealed that it was indeed the remains of the corporal’s body. Contacted by 20 minutes, the lawyer of Nordahl Lelandais Alain Jakubowicz did not wish to speak before the holding of the trial. The accused faces 30 years of criminal imprisonment.
