The number of patients in intensive care continues to increase with 165 admissions in the last 24 hours



More than 800 people with Covid-19 have been hospitalized in the past 24 hours, including 165 in critical care, admissions which are concentrated in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Bouches-du-Rhône, according to Public Health figures France published this Saturday.

The daily number of new people admitted to hospital is 805, including 141 for Martinique alone. In total, 10,463 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized, against 10,515 the day before, including 2,106 in intensive care (against 2,091 Friday and 2,049 Thursday).

81 deaths in 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, 22,636 people have tested positive for Covid-19 and the test positivity rate stands at 3.2%. Since the start of the pandemic, 113,328 people have died, including 86,753 in hospital. 81 deaths have occurred since Friday.

Vaccination is progressing slowly: 47,445,380 people have received at least one injection (70.4% of the total population) and 41,183,852 people are fully vaccinated.
