The North could host the Grande Boucle in 2022

If the course of the next Tour de France will not be known until October 14, some indiscretions suggest that the Great Loop could well end in the North in 2022.

According to The voice of the North, the first day of rest for the event, which will start from Copenhagen, could well take place on Monday, July 4 in the Lille metropolis where several hotels are already full around Lesquin airport where the teams will arrive after three contested first stages in Denmark.

In the wake of this day of rest, the cobblestones of the North, which have not been seen on the race since 2018, should make a comeback with a scheduled arrival in Wallers just next to the legendary Arenberg gap. The Tour could then take the direction of Avesnois before heading to the east of France for the rest of the route.
