The night trains are back… Under what conditions are you ready to take them?

Fall asleep in Paris, wake up in Vienna. From December 13, this will again be possible with sleeper trains from ÖBB, the Austrian railway company, which has successfully relaunched night trains in central Europe from 2016.

In collaboration with SNCF, ÖBB will provide three round trips per week between Paris-Est and Vienna central station, via Strasbourg and Munich. Allow fourteen hours of travel from one end of the line to the other, with the possibility of traveling in seats (from 29.90 euros), in a sleeper compartment (from 59.90 euros) or in the cabin private (from 89.90 euros).

While waiting for Paris-Berlin

SNCF has already reopened the Paris-Nice night train last May and will reopen on December 10
the Paris-Tarbes link with a stop in Lourdes. So much for the interior lines. Others, internationally, are in the works. In particular the return of the mythical Paris-Berlin – more precisely Paris-Brussels-Berlin-Vienna -, from December 2023.

Does this return of the night train to Europe enchant you? Would you be ready to favor this solution to the plane or the car? Under what conditions? What links would you like to see put in place? Do you think this offer is mainly aimed at young people? Tell us.
