You can be a minister and a mayor at the same time
Appointed to the government, the new Minister of the Sea and Fisheries is not going to abandon Lorient and Brittany. According to West FranceFabrice Loher will in fact retain his local mandates, namely those of mayor of Lorient and president of Lorient Agglomeration.
While this accumulation of mandates makes the opposition jump, nothing prevents a minister from having local responsibilities.
